The National Association of Social Work Students, UNILAG organizes conference themed “Breaking the Cycle of Violence: Bridging the Gap from Trauma to Triumph in Our Society” at the Faculty of Social Sciences, UNILAG. The conference which was headed by Gbadebo Akangbe served as a platform for students and professionals in social work to discuss and share insights on breaking the cycle of violence in society. Halima Layeni was well represented by Omotola Sanni, an Electrical Engineering Student and LAAF Campus Ambassador from the University of Lagos. Omotola highlighted the importance of addressing violence against boys and men in addition to women. She advocated for the establishment of support systems and structures that cater to the mental health needs of battered boys and men.
